On August 17, 2015 today the people of Sri Lanka is expected to exercise their vote in parliamentary elections. In Sri Lanka the elections such as today’s general election are significant to determine the future direction.
Asia Democracy Network (ADN), as a regional network committed to promoting and defending the value of democracy, supports the online campaign #IVotedSL officially launched by the Centre for Monitoring Election Violence (CMEV) at the event of the Presidential Election that took place last January.
The campaign calls on eligible voters in the country to take a public pledge that they will exercise their right to vote.
