(July 28, San Salvador) -
The delegates of Asia Democracy Network (ADN) attended the 8th Ministerial Conference of the Community of Democracies (CoD) in San Salvador from 22-24 July 2015. As a coalition dedicated to the promotion of democracy in Asia working with multi-stakeholders, the ADN met and exchanged views with a variety of democratic actors across the world and in Asia in particular.
In Asia, India, Japan, Mongolia, Philippines and South Korea are the members of the Governing Council of the CoD as of 2015. El Salvador having the presidency of the CoD hosted the 8th Ministerial Conference of CoD. The United States is to take on the presidency of the inter-governmental organization for the next two years.
